Being married to a science nerd with a fond love for astronomy has had an amazing effect on my life and those of my children. I have learned so much by just listening to my husband ramble on about this and that. Even more importantly, my children have begun to follow in his footsteps with the how, why, when and wow effect. If for no other reason than our love for all things astronomical, I will say thank you to Space Scouts for providing a way to share the magic with younger children.

Let’s start with the box arrival. Space Scouts is displayed in their full color logo sticker and can begin the excitement before even opening the package. Space ships bring smiles, right?

Lunch Box Contents

ROXY and JETT will guide your child on a scouting expedition through the solar system, with focus on a specific place in space each month. Begin the adventure with the Space Scouts lunchbox to use as a backdrop and storage for the monthly magnet collection, the Space Scouts solar system poster to map and mark with the monthly exploration sticker, and the Space Scouts constellation card startup kit to hold the monthly constellation card collection.

Your child’s adventure begins with:
Introduction to the Space Scouts Program
Space Scouts Lunchbox
Space Scouts Solar System Poster
Space Scouts Activity Sheet
Space Scouts Sticker Scramble
Space Scouts Souvenir Toy
Space Scouts Constellation Card Startup Kit (cover & ring)
Introduction to Space Scouts Constellation Cards

The lunchbox time is not allow adorable but also good quality. It is perfect for storing all of the constellation cards, paperwork and even the map that comes in the packet. If you are anything like me, you value the ability to organize items without having to buy anything additional. However this is also a funny functional lunchbox if your child decides to take it along on another type of adventure.

Month 2 Kit

Each monthly packet will include a Space Scouts exploration plan describing the place to be scouted, a Space Scouts magnet to add to the Space Scouts lunchbox, a Space Scouts sticker to add to the Space Scouts solar system poster, a Space Scouts activity sheet loaded with puzzles, games, and activities, a Space Scouts sticker scramble (unscramble the numbered stickers to reveal a surprise!), a Space Scouts souvenir toy to use in learning activities, a Space Scouts constellation card, and a Space Scouts constellation activity sheet that includes the mythological stories and other learning activities to help your child identify the constellation in the night sky.

Each month your child will receive:
Space Scouts Exploration Plan
Space Scouts Magnet
Space Scouts Sticker
Space Scouts Activity Sheet
Space Scouts Sticker Scramble
Space Scouts Souvenir Toy
Space Scouts Constellation Card
Space Scouts Constellation Activity Sheet

The claw

With each month, there is something new and exciting with Space Scouts. My children adore getting mail, especially when it involves things they are interested in like space and toys. Take the claw contained in the month #2 packet. It has many uses including moving game pieces from place to place and is an excellent too in creating a fun clean up game when playtime is over.

One thing I want to bring notice to is that the Space Scouts kit comes with both a boy and girl character. In a world where most scientific kits are geared to our young men, it is nice to see companies start to bring attention to the fact that our daughters are just as interested in this field as our sons. Bravo!

One winner will receive a one year subscription to Space Scouts (a $174 value).

  1. I love each month your child will receive so they have something to look forward to getting something in the mail they love and it is just theirs. My Grandson would love this.
